A few years ago, J & J Trust Charolais bought a flush out of mating LT Brenda 1014 X LT Long Distance 9001, the bloodline that was the foundation of the Lindskov-Thiel Ranch “Brenda” family of cows that we know today. One of the ET heifers from this flush was sold to LT Ranch for $10,000. The other one, LT Brenda 3438, we kept to see how she would develop as a cow. Overall, she has great udder and calm disposition, and her structure is solid with good feet.Two years ago, wanting to continue the Brenda bloodline, we flushed her to multiple sires— the first time we flushed a Brenda-family cow from within our own herd. Multiple bulls from LT Brenda 3438 have now made the Lindskov-Thiel sale, and we have kept some of her replacement heifers to now produce in our herd.
